I’m not sure how this little trip came to be… It all started with a couple of tickets. We saw that two of our favorite people were touring together over the summer: Ray Lamontagne and David Gray. They were playing at an great outdoor amphitheater at Jones Beach and we just had to go. It was amazing- although I will say that Ray was better than David but both were great.
Turns out they were playing on a Thursday night, so a long weekend it became. We booked a cute little B&B in Southampton and enjoyed some beach time. Watch out, those seagulls are wiley creatures!
We were at Cooper’s beach, which was rated the top Hampton beach this year. The weather was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for better conditions. The best part was the umbrella rental station up at the beach hut- a clutch item for those of us not prone to tanning well.
The we indulged ourselves in a bit of fine dining as well. We had a great dinner at Red Bar Brasserie. I highly recommend the scallop carpaccio. The combination of salty, spicy, and tangy flavors blew my foodie mind. Breakfast at The Golden Pear was packed and the reason why- amazing pastries! And on our way out of town we got burgers and shakes at a townie diner called The Sip & Soda.

Sounds divine! Wish I was there right now.
Clearly a perfect weekend.. Did it include a stop at Target??:)
